About the Artist

Mark Butcher is a live artist and experimental theatre practitioner interested in the relationship between audience and performer. His work has experimented with taking control of groups of people, issuing them instructions, putting words in their mouths and making them play out scripted scenes and scenarios. Most recently he has been exploring similar themes through writing for stage and performance. He is an associate artist with Switch Performance.
